Bio

Senator Linda Coleman is serving her fourth term in the Senate, having previously served one term in the Alabama House of Representatives District 60, and three terms on the Birmingham City Council.

Senator Coleman received her Bachelor of Science degree from Alabama A&M University, and her Masters of Arts degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Professionally she is an Americans with Disabilities Compliance Administrator. Senator Coleman serves on the board of directors for the Birmingham Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Positive Maturity Board in Jefferson County and serves as State Director for the National Foundation for Women Legislators, Inc., the Lakeshore Foundation, Alabama Industries for the Deaf and Blind (Birmingham Region), and the Alabama Head Injury Foundation.

She is a member of Saint Mary"s Catholic Church, Fairfield.
